Now the book is talking about how being overweight perpetuates even more weight gain because your perception of what you should be gets skewed the more weight you gain. Um, I'd like to see the research that supports this statement. I'm not saying it's not true, but it almost seems like the author's opinion rather than research. I could be wrong, just requesting some supporting documentation, which I haven't found in this book yet on any of the claims.

Bought this probably about a year ago or so... Finally decide to try it. WOW!!! It's been 18 days and I've lost over 16 pounds, and I've been eating all I want, and am never going hungry, so I have no cravings for anything, fresh home-made Italian bread or even my all-time favorite corn-type snacks, especially popcorn. Tried some hi carb, processed foods after the first week... felt like crap and lost my desire to eat them. I assume I will plateau one of these days and will have to start exercising, but right now I have a sedentary lifestyle with my job and additional personal activities.

Of course – I did it myself, but if you are weighing yourself everyday multiple times a day you’re going to drive yourself crazy. Be consistent – we weigh in Saturday mornings. Same time every week.

I read about your weight loss and plan and its giving me hope to change. I recently am undergoing a lot of change internally and externally (adjusting to living alone , and a demanding new job) so I want a new me by the end of this month too – physically. I will try this new way of eating for 2 weeks, and keep a log of my progress and what I am eating along with the strength training. hi aagnya.. i thought to reply you. sorry if u feel this wrong actually i have the same problem.. when i got upset or iritated i loose my control. i had not yet follow this diet but i keep following different diets..so yes to control cravings is really difficult. i can only suggest yes you can have a diet holiday but just once in a week but can cover it with little extra workout next day if u do any(as i do same). and u can keep the diet so flexible that there will be no requirement to break it. like some intresting ideas.. bye tk cr

Hi friends! What a beautiful diet plan. Such a doable one and so many motivating comments! I lost 2 kilos in 6 days and I so very much look forward to get back in shape . My pregnancy fat + the same pregnancy diet portions + thyroid make me so lazy and tired. This diet makes me feel so light now. I have started a new blog and have reviewed this weight loss program. Hi, I am in a female my early 20’s and put on 14 pounds from june last year. I am on a diet similar to this its called the Candida diet, (no bread, no pasta, no potatoes, no milk product, no sugar) I have been on it almost a week I don’t see much of a difference in my weight. My calorie intake is different every day sometimes as low as 700 calories a day (hard to find high calorie foods that are acceptable on the diet, beans are not allowed) I have been eating avocados and nuts to compensate. I'm confused that the author is promoting slow weight loss (which is a good thing, thank you for that) however the title of the book is Lose Weight Fast... so, you're misleading the reader by promising information on how to lose weight fast and then you're telling them nope, you're gonna lose it slow. Or, you're going to go ahead and tell them how to lose weight fast after you just said losing it fast is bad, which would be unethical. Either way, the title is misleading as it appears the author is taking the ethical road and teaching you how to lose weight slowly. Sorry to anyone expecting the title to be accurate here.

I did this diet for several months and got down to a weight of 188 lbs at 6’1. I have a video on YouTube about my journey, think i had 60,000 hits about when the book first came out. Loved the cheat day. It does work but no fruit and sugar were hard. I will admit I never got sick, my immune system was top notch and I looked great but it still tough.
I have almost similar case. I can understand your condition. It has been six months to my delivery. I was 72.5 after delivery and not reducing even half Kg. I made some changes in my diet after reading this blog and started doing 30 min exercise in the office since 10 Aug, 2012. During this period, I had to eat outside for 4-5 days due to some family outings but still I reduced 3 KGs and now I am stuck at 69.5 Kgs. Lets hope for the best.
Plain and simple: We just don't feel full by liquid calories in quite the same way as we do real food. Drinking a juice or caramel coffee drink, for instance, won't make you feel full the way eating a bowl of veggie- and protein-packed stir-fry will. So monitor your intake of juice, soda, sweetened coffee and tea, and alcoholic beverages. If you consume each of those beverages during the day, you'll have taken in at least 800 extra calories by nighttime — and you'll still be hungry. Thats the whole idea of this diet ”LIFESTYLE CHANGE”.. it actually affects your skin as well i got such nice skin and all. because eliminating the junk and having 2-3 servings of fruit and all good foods does makes a difference.. And the best part is that when you are doing something you know is good for you, you actually feel really light and happy. But when you step onto the weighing machine and notice the pounds melting that is some other worldly bliss..
