i've been a member of pure gym for about a year and a half now and find it really good. I describe it as the easyjet of gyms, you know what you are getting, no frills but basics are delivered well. I also find that they are quite responsive, I mentioned that there wern't enough after work and evening classes and the timetable did improve (although it has slackened off again recently but I hope they will be doing something about that) The showers are nice and changing rooms always clean, whenever I go there is plenty of equipment for everyone, the machines are all new and in good nick. If anything does get broken they usually fix it within a day or so. The only thing is the personal training, which is just as expensive as any other gym. I know its one on one training and does cost but I do wish it was a bit more affordable!

What was once a friendly and organised gym has turned into a miserable experience since pure gym too...k over from soho gym in Lewisham. They released nearly all the instructors, some of whom had been working there for 20+ years and had built up a loyal clientele. No notice, no suitable replacements and now most classes are taken by PTs who have had little or no training. It's a joke and dangerous to train with instructors who do not appear to be qualified to teach group classes. The entire atmosphere has changed and loyal gym members have left in their droves.
