Most of my issues with this gym are with the people who visit and not so much the facilities itself. The gym itself is great. As a person that isn't overly into my fitness the price is great. The layout of the gym makes it easy to navigate, there is a bit of running between stairs to get to equipment, but most of what I would use is on the same floor. The classes are easy to book with the app and are plentiful.
Great gym, staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym is well mixed and diversified so all ages and background would feel comfortable at this gym. With lots of equipment and an area dedicated to free weights there are plenty of exercises to perform so you aren't waiting. Gym is extremely clean and the cleaners do an excellent job. If you have a lock bring it to use for the lockers or u can purchase at PureGym one there. For those looking to make themselves better join this gym.
CoolSculpting works by taking advantage of the fact that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the other cells around them. This basic scientific fact was first discovered in 1970 by doctors observing children who sucked on popsicles for hours, and ended up having first soreness, and later dimples, caused by loss of fat cells! Fast forward about 20 years, and Harvard scientists revisited this fact, and realized that they could turn this science into a system for aesthetic sculpting of fatty bulges. The key was to find the ‘sweet spot’ of time and temperature, which would kill some fat cells but not damage surrounding structures such as skin. They called the public company that makes the systems Zeltiq. The proof of the success of this concept and treatment: Zeltiq was bought out by Allergan in 2016 for whopping 2.5 billion! This was the largest sale of a single medical device company in history.
Body sculpting is pretty fresh on the scene. In 2008, two Harvard-affiliated scientists founded the idea of selective cryolosis—the process of freezing fat cells and killing them, eliminating stubborn body fat. The hypothesis that cold temperatures could kill fat came from one interesting observation. Children who sucked on popsicles often developed dimples, indicating that cold temperature could eliminate fat cells, leaving little “pockets.” Weirdly, body sculpting sort of mimics popsicle sucking.
For most of us, there comes a time, when we look in the mirror or stop for a break after long stairs and say to ourselves: “it’s time to hit the gym”. Fortunately, the growing popularity of active lifestyle led to creation of many gyms and sport clubs – we have plenty to choose from. So... which to choose? Think about what you’re going to use at the gym. A treadmill? Maybe some weights? If yes, do you really want to pay for everything, including sauna, swimming pool and fully-equipped spa section? Not likely. Then, mix low price, clear rules and professional equipment without fancy and unnecessary additions. What you get? Pure Gym.
Above points demonstrate some of the key points to take care of when opting for a body sculpting treatment without surgery. Not all cases are eligible for the body sculpting procedure. Hence, it is important to get your doctor’s advice before jumping head first into the treatment sessions. Traditional surgeries also have BMI based restrictions and some people have to tone down their body to a certain level before being eligible for fat reduction surgeries.
Great no fuss gym, very affordable at only £18.99. Although I do like this gym, I have stopped going for the reasons below. I feel the need to note my reasons so you know what you're getting for the cheap price. Issues. They are very busy in the evenings, which is the best time for me, and clearly everyone else to go. This often leads to long waits for machines and equipment, also for the showers. As someone that doesn't gym often, I find gyms intimidating, with no staff to turn to for help, pure gym can be a little scary and confusing if you haven't planed what you are there to do in advance. Also some of the clientele can be boisterous, especially if you look a little lost! There is often issues with things being stolen in the locker rooms, I would advise keeping all your belongings locked up and out of sight just to be safe. If you aren't intimated by these issues, then pure gym is a great gym.
