Now here are a couple more facts: We all have many billions of fat cells. In fact, the number of fat cells that we have, and the distribution of those cells are both pretty much fixed from very early in life (around one year in age). The reason that different people have different shapes is that their fat cells are distributed differently. The woman with disproportionately wide outer thighs has more fat cells in that area, and therefore she perceives it as a stubborn disproportion. One man may have a relative ‘hill’ of fat cells under his chin; another in his love handles, and so on.
PureGym has redefined the industry with its affordable, high-quality and no-contract offering, and the success of this strategy is reflected in the company's continued growth. Launched in November 2009, in February this year, PureGym reached one million members - a milestone never previously achieved by a UK gym group - and in March opened its 200th site. In addition to the acquisition of Soho Gyms, PureGym plans to open at least 20 gyms a year - extending its position as the UK's leading gym operator. On average PureGym members pay around £20 per month compared to typical average prices in the market of around £40. Members benefit from fully equipped facilities and between 50 and 80 classes per week included in the monthly membership price.
You don’t need to use the website to get your membership or for any other reason but it’s so much easier with it. The PureGym website gives you all necessary information and a possibility to open, freeze, renew or upgrade/downgrade your membership. You can also book your classes there. Apart from the website, you may want to visit PureGym blog to find articles about nutrition, workout and supplementations as well as various guides, tips and tricks.
What was once a friendly and organised gym has turned into a miserable experience since pure gym too...k over from soho gym in Lewisham. They released nearly all the instructors, some of whom had been working there for 20+ years and had built up a loyal clientele. No notice, no suitable replacements and now most classes are taken by PTs who have had little or no training. It's a joke and dangerous to train with instructors who do not appear to be qualified to teach group classes. The entire atmosphere has changed and loyal gym members have left in their droves. The low prices are not an incentive to stay. I'd rather pay more and have the excellent Les Mills classes taught by proper Les Mills instuctors thanks... just as they were before. See More
